Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest DisasterInto Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster by Jon Krakauer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I want to recommend Jon krakhauer’s Into Thin Air, the story of the disasterous events during a climb on Mt. Everest when 9 climbers died on the mountain. A gripping tale of mistakes and poor judgment aided and abetted by the unpredictability of Mother Nature. I could not put it down.

  1. I read that recently as well. I had enjoyed his book Into The Wild.
The story is really intense and gives you a really detailed look into the Everest culture and experience. There were tragedies and amazing survivals. When I am walking home on a freezing winter day I can only try to imagine how those people must have felt.
