Tuesday
An almost four hour drive today from Atlanta. Lovely through the mountains to Asheville. Wandered the town for a while – very charming. Pan fried chicken dinner at Early Girls Eatery and the best cake we’ve ever had in a restaurant – Buttermilk with chocolate frosting. Worth coming to Asheville by itself, Terry says.
Enthusiastic turnout at Malaprop’s Bookstore. Many people came a very long way to be there, including one couple from Illinois that drove seven hours. Terry has refined his reading and now has it where he wants it and it sounds quite smooth and leaves his listeners hanging – just the way he likes it!
The charming staff of Malaprop’s.
That’s all for tonight – off to Raleigh tomorrow.

Well worth the visit, Terry read a piece from a yet to be published book, which was great. He took questions from the crowd actually some good questions, it seemed like the people that were there were really into him and his writing. He signed all the books people had and was taking pictures with all who asked. very friendly and cordial man. Do urself a favor if this book tour comes anywhere close to u go, u will not be disappointed by this legend.
Great to see the fun had by all. Crossing my fingers there will be another “last” east-coast signing tour I can make before Terry gets too bored with them.
