Attend The 2015 GET LIT AT THE BEACH Festival

logo-getlit2015This year marks the fourth annual Get Lit at the Beach!

“Get Lit” is back with a passion for great books. Planners are pleased to announce that five prominent authors will participate in the 4th annual event hosted by the Tolovana Arts Colony, a not-for-profit that connects artists with the coast community.

Karen Joy Fowler, Gail Tsukiyama, Jim Lynch, Nancy Pearl and Terry Brooks.

This event is a great opportunity for book lovers and aspiring writers to get to know widely read and admired authors, as well as an opportunity to purchase their published books and ask them any questions they may have!

Get Lit at the Beach is Friday, April 10, 2015 through Sunday, April 12, 2015! The event takes place in the beautiful setting of Cannon Beach, a short drive from Portland, Oregon. Friday begins at 5:00 PM with an evening reception. Saturday continues the event with speeches and interviews with the authors, followed by an evening prime rib dinner with Keynote speaker Nancy Pearl. Sunday features a closing Q&A!

There are only a few tickets available for this event! I highly recommend it. I’ve gone to this wonderful book festival the last three years and I’ve had great fun talking to the authors and other readers/aspiring writers!

I hope to see you there!

  1. Terry,
I attended Get Lit for the first time this month. You were a delightful MC/facilitator. While I had read books by the other Get Lit authors, I was not familiar with your books. I started housing sitting in Cannon Beach a week ago and have just finished reading The Sword of Shannara and Elfstones of Shannara. They were gripping and fun to read. I plan to start on Wishsong later today –it will be the capstone to my two weeks at the beach.

I love discovering a new author, such as you, who has written MANY books for me to read. I look forward to more of your work and the many worlds you have created!! Thank you! Jodi Davich
