On December 4, 2015, MTV will red carpet premiere the first two episodes of THE SHANNARA CHRONICLES, season one of the TV series adapting the bestselling epic fantasy novel The Elfstones of Shannara by Terry Brooks.

Executive producer Jon Favreau invites the winner of this auction to attend this rare event in Los Angeles, CA, which premieres a full month before its wide release on January 5, 2016! Executive producers and showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar (Smallville, Spider-Man 2) will be joined by executive producers Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Jungle Book), Dan Farah (Ready Player One) and Terry Brooks for this special night.

Actors Austin Butler (Wil), Poppy Drayton (Amberle), Ivana Baquero (Eretria), James Remar (Cephelo), and Brook Williams (Catania) will be in attendance as well!

Thousands of years after the destruction of the age of man and science, new races and magic now rule the world, but an imminent danger threatens. A horde of evil Demons is beginning to escape and bring death upon the land. Only Wil Ohmsford, the last of the Shannara bloodline, has the power to guard the Elven Princess Amberle on a perilous quest to the save the world, while the leader of the Demon force aims to stop their mission at any cost.

The Los Angeles premiere of THE SHANNARA CHRONICLES features a red carpet experience, the two-episode screening, and an after party with those who have brought this amazing story to life! You are responsible for travel and accommodations.

This is a once in a lifetime event! A night out with Hollywood movers and shakers, actors, and one of the nicest bestselling authors of all time!

Why are we auctioning off these tickets?

History of the Auction: My wife Kristin and I were invited to attend this event, and unfortunately, she has found out she can’t make it. I approached MTV about my extra ticket and thought donating it to Patrick Rothfuss’s Worldbuilders charity drive might be a great place. MTV agreed.  More than agreed, actually, because they offered two tickets to be auctioned off instead.

Please note: The date for this event is December 4th, 2015–that’s two weeks from the start of the auction. We realize this is extremely last-minute, but we can’t let these tickets go to waste. If you can schedule that zero-hour babysitter, an evening with Shannara awaits!

As stated above, the auction is for two (2) event tickets only. You need to provide your own transportation and lodging.

When the auction ends, we will get in touch with the winning bidder to get your and your companion’s names so MTV can reserve the tickets.

  1. Personally I would have use the word Bid over Win since Win usually means a sweepstakes or contest. Just saying!

  2. The auction is now closed. The winning bid was $2,550 all going to Patrick Rothfuss’ Worldbuilders charity. That’s wonderful! It’s interesting to view the bid history. Once the bidding exceeded $1,000, it was a two horse race.
